Universities in San Francisco, California

Golden Gate University offers accredited degree programs. The main campus is in San Francisco. Other campuses are located throughout California and Seattle and also a Golden Gate's CyberCampus on the Internet. Golden Gate's School of Taxation is ranked number two in the United States. San Francisco State University offers degree accredited programs in Behavioral and Social Sciences, Business, Creative Arts, Education, Ethnic Studies, Health and Human Services, Humanities, Interdisciplinary Studies and Science and Engineering.

The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is the smallest in size of the 10 UC campuses and is one of the leading biomedical research and health science education centers in the world. The UCSF Mission Bay campus, south of downtown San Francisco which opened in 2003, is the largest biomedical university expansion in the country. UCSF offers degree programs of study in Education, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. The University San Francisco is a private Jesuit Catholic University which includes the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Professional Studies, School of Business and Management, School of Education, School of Law and School of Nursing. City College of San Francisco, California

The City College of San Francisco offers the opportunity for a two-year degree of Associate in Arts or Associate in Sciences. The credits are transferrable to a 4-year college program. City College of San Francisco also offers study in certificate curriculum programs designed to qualify students for entry employment in fields such as Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies, Ornamental Horticulture, Graphic Communications, Film Production, Broadcasting, and Child Development.
